dear little sister

Dear little sister,

There are so many people I need to thank, but I wanted to thank you, first of all, for being my maid of honor. You know, that title could have been coined just for you. During the last few days before the wedding, you willingly became my maid, in the colloquial sense: running errands for me, accompanying me in all my meetings, putting up with my bursts of ill temper, sharing with me a last piece of chocolate cake. And on the wedding day itself, you were the heart and soul of the celebration, still slaving away, all the while looking like a goddess clothed in sunlight.

This line will be woefully unoriginal, but I really, truly, absolutely couldn't have done it without you.

When I look at our childhood photos, I think about the cheer that you brought into our family. Even now, from miles away, you continue to be the rock that keeps us strong. Sometimes I think God put you in this world because He knows Mama and Papa and I need someone like you. But of course that's not entirely true, because you have your own life to live, your own destiny to fulfill. And I pray with all my heart that, if and whenever you need me, I can be as good a sister to you as you have always been to me. Luv u, Lan.

Regret is...

...changing your blog design and now wishing you didn't.

I started another blog recently and found it so much easier to write posts and insert images and whatnot. I figured if I adopted the new designs for this blog, I would be able to do things the new way. Apparently not. Grrr!
